Dr. Leah Sebastian was raised in Jackson, a small town in Eastern Kentucky. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky in 2010, with a major in Biotechnology. After spending a year in Ann Arbor, Michigan working for the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research, she returned to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry to continue her education and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2015, followed by the completion of three years of specialty training in the Department of Orthodontics. Dr. Sebastian is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Southern Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Sebastian’s favorite part about being an orthodontist is the opportunity to really get to know her patients and their families. She believes that forming a partnership with each individual patient not only helps to ensure that orthodontic goals are achieved, but also that their journey in treatment is a positive, uplifting experience.
Dr. Sebastian and her husband Jordan now reside in Shelbyville with their daughter, Lennon, and their energetic German Shorthaired Pointer, Lincoln. She enjoys traveling across the globe, cooking and trying new foods, attending college sporting events, and spending time with family and friends. As a native Kentuckian, Dr. Sebastian is grateful to live in the heart of the Bluegrass, and feels fortunate to be able to serve the community through her work creating confident smiles.
